Soy Roast Duck With Hoisin Gravy

Soy Roast Duck With Hoisin Gravy Recipes

Ingredients For The Duck:
6 boneless duck breasts
4 tbsp soy sauce
1 heaped tsp five spice powder
2 tbsp clear honey

Ingredients For The Gravy:

2 x 300g tubs fresh chicken stock
4 tbsp hoisin sauce
4 thin slices fresh ginger , no need to peel
dash of sesame oil

How To Make:
1. Remove the duck skin with a fork, at the same time to release their fat.
2. Combine soy, five spice powder and honey in a bowl. Stir well. Coat the duck with soy mixture. Cover and chill in refrigerator until ready to roast.
3. Make the gravy: In a saucepan, add broth, Hoisin sauce and ginger. Bring to a boil for sauces made an smooth. Add the sesame oil and set aside.
4. Preheat oven to 200C degrees.
5. Pour water based roasting tin. Remove the duck from the marinade, place on rack. Bake for 20 minutes.
6. Serve the duck with rice, split duck, and pour with Hoisin sauce.
