Chocolate Christmas Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:
1 egg, beaten
200 g Dark Cooking Chocolate, melted
125 g butter
2 1/4 cups plain flour
1 cup sultanas
1/2 cup prunes, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup currants
1/2 cup glacé red & green cherries, chopped
1/2 cup glacé ginger, chopped
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup brandy
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tsp orange rind
1 tsp mixed spice

How To Make:
1. In a bowl, combine fruit, orange juice, orange peel and brandy. Mix well, let stand for 1 hour.
2. Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, and add the chocolate is melted. Add flour and mixed spice and stir well.
3. Grease and line a 2 liter of pudding basin. Pour batter into a bowl, cover with foil.
4. Prepare a large pan, fill with boiling water until half. Place the pudding basin in a pan, cover, and cook for 105 minutes.
5. After that remove from pan, leave overnight, before the pudding out of the basin.
6. Serve pudding with custard, sprinkle with icing sugar.
