8 garlic cloves, crushed
3 spicy red chiles or jalapeño chiles, finely chopped
2 whole chickens, each cut in half
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup olive oil
1 tbsp light brown sugar
2 tsps chili powder
2 tsps dried oregano
2 tsps dried thyme
2 tsps ground cumin
2 tsps salt
How To Make:
1. Combine first 10 ingredients in an extra-large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag, and add chicken. Seal and chill 8 to 12 hours.
2. Remove chicken from bag, discard marinade. Place chicken halves, cut-sides down, on greased grill rack.
3. Cover and grill over medium heat 325F to 350F for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done, turning chicken every 15 minutes.
